Our staff is a great team, with the right mix of skills and backgrounds, and has been carefully chosen to provide the best care for your pet.

Jennifer J. Sweet, DVM

Dr. Sweet graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 and practiced for 5 years at various veterinary hospitals in nearby Fair Oaks before opening her own practice in Folsom in 2000.

Dr. Sweet holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from UC Davis and completed graduate studies at California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo. She specializes in small pet animals.

Member of AVMA, CVMA, AAHA, SVVMA and proud owner of 2 cats, 2 Salukis, and many tropical fish. Dr. Sweet and her husband, Greg, have two beautiful children, a daughter Madeline Grace, who was born on their 10th wedding anniversary and a son, Nathaniel James, born in 2006.

Erin L. Felton, DVM

Dr. Felton graduated from University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Upon graduation, she and her husband Chris returned home to El Dorado County, where she was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. Dr. Felton practiced in nearby Fair Oaks and El Dorado Hills before officially joining the team at Blue Ravine Animal Hospital. Dr. Felton has a special interest in working dogs for police, guide dogs and assistance dogs.

When not at work, you can find Dr. Felton playing soccer or being a mom. Dr. Felton is the proud mother of two daughters, Madison Paige, born in 1999, and Katie Elizabeth, born in 2002. The entire Felton Family is protected by their slobbery Newfoundland, Gracie.

Jackie Thomas, DVM

Dr. Thomas graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She is originally from the Pacific Northwest and holds Bachelor degrees in both Oceanography and Zoology from the University of Washington in Seattle. She planned to stay away from Seattle just long enough to finish school, but after her first sunny California winter, those plans changes.

Dr. Thomas lives in Folsom with one dog and three cats, all of whom  "just came home for one night" and never left. She and her husband Dave are the proud parents of an energetic four-year-old named Eric. Dr. Thomas enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Patti Rungo, Office Manager/Receptionist

Patti has over 15 years experience as a Veterinary Technician. She has bred and shown Bulldogs for more than 10 years. She heads the Mother Lode Bulldog Club Rescue program. She has placed over 100 Rescue bulldogs during the past three years.

Misty Tracy, Groomer

Misty has been grooming dogs and cats for over 20 years. She previously owned her own grooming shop in Fair Oaks. Currently, Misty is spending extra time riding her three horses, enjoying her many cats and dogs, and volunteering with th Folsom Lake Mounted Trail Unit. Misty has participated in showing dogs since 1984 and currently is lure coursing with her Irish Wolfhounds, Aiden and Maren.

Katie Schwartz, Registered Veterinary Technician

Katie graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. After working in the veterinary field for ten years, she challenged the CA State Board exam to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She owns three kitties (D21, Myrna-Myrna, and Baby Bioux), a beagle (Morpheus), a cattledog mix (Niobe), two ducks (Mulder, Scully) and two leopard geckos (Thing 1 and Thing 2). She enjoys spending time with her husband, Anthony, oil painting, gardening, playing with bugs, singing, and watching hockey. She owns a pet sitting business and plans on owning a veterinary practice in the future. She and her husband welcomed a baby boy named Owen in November 2006.

Carrie Ann Lemire, Registered Veterinary Technician

Carrie has been working in the veterinary profession since 1994. She grew up in San Jose and is a graduate from Western Career College. Carrie is the proud owner of two psychotic Australian Sheppards, Sidney Rose and Sir Andrew; one French Bulldog, Lola Ann; and one fat cat, Daphne Rose.

Marja Miller, Veterinary Technician

Marja has been working in the veterinary field for almost ten years now as it is her passion to care for animals. She is the proud owner of four cats: Sequoia, Tahoe, Fuji, and Cherokee; a German Sheppard named Wiley; and a retired standardbred off the CalExpo Race Track. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, camping, watching football, spending time with her animals and shopping. Her future plans consist of owning and operating a horse boarding facility and someday owning a working cattle ranch.

Brianne Boon, Veterinary Technician

Bri grew up in Shingle Springs and attended Ponderosa High School. She has three cats and a Golden Retriever named Cleo. Having worked in the veterinary field for almost ten years, she plans to get her license as a registered veterinary technician in the near future.

Amy Jungk, Receptionist

Amy has over five years experience working as a receptionist in veterinary clinics. While in high school she owned and showed horses in local hunter and jumper shows. Amy continued to show horses and work for various trainers in the Sacramento area while obtaining an Associate of Arts degree at American River College. Amy owns two cats, Heidi and Miss Kitty.
