Meet the Veterinary Staff at Folsom’s Blue Ravine Animal Hospital

Patti Rungo, Office Manager / Receptionist

Patti has been working as the head receptionist and office manager at Blue Ravine Animal Hospital for the past 10 years. Patti also has over 15 years experience as a veterinary technician.

Patti has bred and shown bulldogs for more than 20 years, and she heads the Northern California Bulldog Rescue program. She helps place over 80 rescue bulldogs each year.

Patti is the proud owner of a ranchette, and her animals include sheep, geese, pot belly pigs, cats, tortoise, exotic birds, and a variety of dogs.

Michelle
Michelle Ippoliti, Receptionist

Michelle is new to Blue Ravine Animal Hospital, but is eager to learn. She has been a life-long animal lover. She and her husband moved to the Sacramento area from Sonoma County about 10 years ago. They share their home with an array of four-legged friends. She has been a volunteer with Northern California Bulldog Rescue for several years and is also involved with her local & national Bulldog club.

Tricia Hudick, Receptionist

Tricia has been working in the veterinary field as a receptionist for the past 20 years. She was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. She first started working as a receptionist for a veterinarian in 1988. She moved to Sacramento in 1989, where she continued her work as a veterinary receptionist.

She met her husband, Eric, here in Sacramento, and she has three children. At the current time her other children include her dog, Sam, a shepherd labrador mix and her cat, Pippers, who thinks he is a lion. She plans on continuing her work in this field and looks forward to helping our clients with the care of their pets.

Katie Schwartz, Registered Veterinary Technician

Katie graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. She has worked in the veterinary field for close to 15 years. She has been with Blue Ravine Animal Hospital since 2003 after moving from the Bay Area with her husband.

Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and family of two children, four kitties (D21, Miss Meere, Baby Bioux, and Myrna-Myrna), two dogs (Morpheus and Niobe), a leopard gecko (Thing 1), fish, and a multitude of frogs residing in her pond! She also enjoys gardening, singing, oil painting, and following the SF Giants and SJ Sharks.

When not occupied by family activities or hobbies, she operates and owns a pet sitting business which services the El Dorado Hills area.

Amanda Mills, Registered Veterinary Technician, Certified Canine Trainer and Counselor

Amanda has been working in the veterinary field since 1996. In order to fulfill her desire to work with animals, Amanda obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology from UC Davis in 2003 and shortly after became a Registered Veterinary Technician.

While working in veterinary practices she saw a huge need for canine behavior services to be provided through the hospital for dog owners. Amanda became certified in training and behavior counseling for dogs from the San Francisco SPCA in the winter of 2005.

Amanda and her husband are settled in Folsom with their “children”, Sydney, an adorable Shih-Tzu, and Maxwell, an energetic Brussels Griffon. She enjoys traveling, hiking, wine tasting, and, of course, teaching her dogs new tricks. Amanda looks forward to meeting and caring for all of your pets.

Brianne Boon, Registered Veterinary Technician

Brianne has been working in the veterinary field for almost 14 years. Last year she obtained her license to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Brianne lives in Sacramento with her husband, Shane, and four-legged kids. Brianne has three cats, Napo, Ginger, and Foxy, and a Golden Retriever named Cleo.

Chai Toren, Registered Veterinary Technician

Chai graduated from Consumnes River College with an A.S. in Veterinary Technology. She received her Registered Veterinary Technician license in 2008. She has worked in the veterinary field for 7 years.

She was raised in the foothills with a multitude of animals. She has always had a passion for animals and their well being. She currently lives in Antelope with three dogs, Kohna, Landon, and Mochi. She also has a horse named Primero. She spends her free time horseback riding by Folsom Lake, kayaking, camping, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Jacqui Hodges, Veterinary Technician

Jacqui grew up working with animals, finding homes for ones that were lost or just caring for them in general. She has been in the veterinary field for close to seven years and is currently taking courses at American River College. She hopes to transfer to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

She is also the owner of three cats (One-Eyed Willie, Drake, and F'sheezy), two dogs (Phoenix and Lexi), two bearded dragons, two anoles, and the newest addition, a 6-month old quarter horse filly named Icey. In her free time she enjoys camping, riding horses, road trips, cooking, and spending time with furry friends through pet sitting.

Lindsey Tennis, Veterinary Technician

Lindsey was born and raised in southern California. She went to CSU Monterey Bay and received a bachelor's of science degree in Marine and Coastal Ecology.

She is currently taking classes in preparation for veterinary school and lives in Granite Bay with her husband and eight animals: a golden retriever, a three-legged Chihuahua, two tabby cats, and four chickens. Needless to say, animals are a huge part of her life!

Jennifer McCutcheon, Veterinary Technician

Jennifer was born and raised in Ukiah, CA and grew up with a great love for animals. She holds a bachelor's degree from UC Davis. Jennifer began working in the vet field in 2009 and plans to become an RVT in the future.

When she is not working or playing with her three orange cats (Theo, Oliver, and Max) Jennifer runs a professional art website and enjoys painting custom pet portraits.

Rebekah Blackman, Veterinary Assistant

Bekah grew up in Shingle Springs and attended Ponderosa High School. She lives with two big dogs: a Malamute mix named Balto and a lab rescue mix named Hunter.

Bekah has worked in the veterinary field for four years and plans on going to school to become a registered veterinary technician in the near future. She loves snowboarding and doing anything outside.

Misty Tracy, Pet Groomer

Misty has been grooming dogs and cats for over 25 years. She previously owned her own grooming shop in Fair Oaks.

Currently, Misty is spending extra time riding horses, enjoying her many cats and dogs, and volunteering with the Folsom Lake Mounted Trail Unit. When not showing dogs or riding horses, Misty spends time quilting or camping.
